Bunches
Bunches was founded in 1989 by the couple Erik and Sandra beneath a 3 meter by 4 meter umbrella, at a shopping centre inMansfield. The hard working couple determined to make their small venture click, put in their efforts as best as they could. Every day began at 4am for them! Buying flowers at the local market, they turned it in to beautiful bouquets in their garage. The high quality bouquets that came out of the garage soon had many admirers. The success was so great, in 16 weeks there were buyers for their business! They decided to sell their business.
Erik and Sandra had better ideas which they planned to execute. Erik discovered that you could dispatch flowers in boxes to world wide customers. Royal Mail was the transport link they relied upon. The idea was presented before the Post Office, who agreed instantly. In January 1990, they started running their business from a factory situated in Kirkby-in-Ashfield. Orders were placed at the Post Office counter from where it reached the Bunches office. Bunches at that time was run by Eric, Sandra and another employee.
During earlier days the orders received by Bunches was just five. But Eric never doubted the possibilities of flower delivery business. In 1992 Bunches with their flower delivery trade had extended its horizons to all the Post Offices situated nationwide. At this juncture Bunches began to offer chocolates along with their bouquets to customers, which was a unique gesture in the flower business.
In 2001, Bunches had out-grown its set up inNewsteadVillageand moved into more lavish premises with its own office for sales, production and delivery facilities. They continue to work here, however the size, space and number of their offices have grown beyond imagination.
Bunches, today creates smiles on many faces across theUK. The flowers procured from suppliers of long standing association are of high quality and long lasting. Bunches import flowers from all over the world, straight from where they are grown in best conditions. Bunches have delivered more than 2.5 million bouquets all over theUK, till time.
