Scotland’s largest free music festival at Dock Park, Dumfries, will take place on 12th August (Saturday), with a headline act by rapper Example, along with Ben Haenow.
The headline acts at the festival will all be supported by youth talents of Dumfries, which includes Gracefell, Lewis Capaldi and Be Charlotte.
The 8-day Fringe Festival will also end on the day of Youth Beatz, highlighting the festival too, along with a large number of community based events happening across the Nithsdale area.
The Toon, an immersive and interactive learning experience, will also return to the festival. It brings in a new point of view when addressing issues that affect the lives of young people, like domestic violence, sectarianism, poverty, alcohol and legal rights.
The rapper Example has 5 successful albums, with a 6th ongoing and other multiple collaborations under his belt. Rapping has gained him millions of fans worldwide, seven Top Ten singles, two Top Five albums and two No.1s.
Ben Haenow is the winner of 2014 X Factor. He has not only joined the X Factor Nationwide tour and released a successful debut album, but has also signed a deal with Syco Music.
This is a free event, but tickets are needed and details are on the site- youthbeatz.co.uk. Applications from postcodes of Dumfries and Galloway will be given priority to ensure attendance of local residents.
