An Overall number of 10,000 free tickets to witness the evening celebration that concludes the Olympic Torch Relay can be booked from the 27th of April onwards.
The programme that commences at 5.30 pm on June 1st will be loaded with variety entertainment by the city council, LOCOG and the Three Presenting Partners of the London Torch relay, namely Coca-cola, Samsung and Lloyds TSB.
Each residential home can avail of up to four free tickets that will be given to those people who get to call the TicketQuarter hotline number 0844 8000 410 or logon to www.ticketquarter.co.uk first.
The Cabinet Member for Culture, Councillor Wendy Simon stated that the free tickets would enable thousands of people to witness the lighting pf the Olympic Flame in their own home town. She also stated that it was a fantastic method means for communities to be able to involve themselves in the excitement of the Olympic Games.
The free tickets would give the lucky people an opportunity to take part in plenty of different activities that would be presented by the three presenting Partners, with Lloyds TSB providing spectacular acrobatic events, Coca-Cola offering live music and Samsung staging terrific dance shows.
The free ticket will be available only to people over 18 years of age and kids must necessarily be accompanied by parents or other adults.
The Olympic Torch Relay will commence at Land’s End in Cornwall on May 19th 2012 and will travel approximately 8000 miles around the country thereby giving thousands of villages and individual people their chance to witness the Olympic Flame as it passes through a location close to them.
