The 32nd Cambridge Film Festival will be held in Grantchester soon and the still virgin forest regions of Grantchester Meadows will become an open air venue for the screening of cinema in the weekend. People who have been lucky enough to win the competition will be able to see two of the most celebrated and well known movies and guess what? There will be cocktails include for good measure!
Exhibited one of the biggest Airscreens in the United Kingdom, these contemporary works of art will carry one from strikingly strange India to the foggy muddy lowlands and creaky old homes in Edwardian England.
“The Woman in Black” would be the film that would be screened on the first day of the weekend and it would be one of those movies that can put one’s nerves to the test with the olden day mysteries and other methods of performance. This movie that has been from the well known stage play which was earlier based on the novel by the same name.
It is in this film that Danielle Radcliffe who plays Arthur Clip got to play his premier adult role on the screen. Arthur Clip was a budding lawyer who was put to going through the papers for the sale of a majestic and compelling stately home that bore a terrible secret. During his work the lawyer starts hearing vague noises and footsteps that obviously was being heard from the vacant rooms in the upper floor. Well people had better be ready for what would follow after that.
The next day there would be the screening of “The best Exotic Marigold Hotel” where the viewers would be taken on a dream trip to India. The movie has a big star cast and is said to be one that would be appreciated by people of all age groups. The story revolves round a cheering and warm retirement-age adventure in life.
This movie would quite definitely get people to liken themselves, their mothers or a couple of their friends to the main character, Maggie Smith in the movie. Maggie is an amusing stingy and cantankerous non-PC olden day housekeeper, while Judi Dench plays the part of the anxious new widow of Judge Tom Wilkinson. Tom Wilkinson, in turn was one who was always intent on stuffing his career trying to complete some thing that he had left unfinished and which had hounded him throughout his life.
Other than the two main movies on the Saturday and Sunday, both evenings at Grantchester Meadows would feature a variety of small shops that would vend freshly cooked food as well as alcoholic and soft drinks made in the locality.
Well in order to win tickets for the movie and the free cocktails for the screening of a person’s selection, from the pop-up bar offered by Cambridge eating house, cafe and cocktail bar La Raza.
The competition will also feature a runner-up who is also scheduled to receive two free tickets for the movie “The Woman in Black” and he/she would also be provided with a copy of the book donated by Heffers.
In order to enter the competition and win the pair of tickets the contestant would have to answer the question as to who Radcliffe plays in the movie “The Woman in Black”.

Answers are to reach by Thursday the 23rd of August, before noon time. The contestant has to mention his/her preference of movie too.
