The novel TV service Free Time from Freesat will offer OTT facilities through Wi-Fi by the year end.
The new connected TV service known as Free Time from Freesat the free-to-air DTH interface will be providing OTT facilities before the end of the current year.
The premier set-top retailer, to introduce a free of cost time product, Humax will release the set-top box consisting of 1TB of storage space along with wireless connectivity.
Free Time from the free-to-air DTH platform Freesat would be providing a reverse connection to the broadcaster catch-up interfaces as a display segment that provides suggestions from the editor. The premier free time gadget, which would be a 500GB edition would be made available to the users by the end of the current month, meaning September for a price of 279 pounds or when converted it would cost 352 Euros. The BBC’s iPlayer, the ITV Player from ITV are some of the channels that will be part of the OTT services at the time of launching and these channels would be accessible through Ethernet connectivity.
The Commercial Director of Humax, Mr. Graham North affirmed to DTVE that by the fag end of the current year his firm would be introducing a 1TB model of the set-top box, and that it could be availed of with wireless connectivity. However he did not mention what the cost of the set-top box would be.
