Free events with Santa in double-decker bus in Nottingham
Nottingham is welcoming Santa Claus, who is coming to town in a festive double-decker Christmas bus, this weekend, on 11th and 12th November, to make things more festive. The event is also part of a free family event, which includes festive crafts and food stalls. Meet Father Christmas in his Christmas bus parked at Giltbrook Shopping Park, which is home to Ikea. It will be parked from 10am to 6pm on Saturday. On Sunday, it will be there from 11am to 5pm. Get the chance to make your own Christmas postcard in the craft workshop. Get a variety of seasonal treats from food stalls, like The Crepe Cabin and The Street Diner.
The centre manager of the retail park, Gail Sutton, said this year Santa has swapped his sleigh for a big red bus and it will surprise their customers. Children will be helped by their team of helpers to decorate postcards to be taken home, or given to Santa to be taken to the North Pole, she added. She remarked that they were pleased to be offering families the chance to enjoy creative and festive free activities, spending time with near and dear. To avoid disappointment, visitors are encouraged to come early, as events are run on a first come, first served basis.

It Takes Two, the spin-off show from Strictly Come Dancing, is coming back with more exclusive access to the backstage than before. The popular tea-time series on BBC Two has Zoe Ball returning again to present the series. She is a former contestant with the inside knowledge, now a radio and television presenter. Celebs and their pro partners too will be chatting about their latest dances with Zoe, throughout the series.
The show is for 30 minutes and is at 6:30pm from Monday to Thursday, but Friday sees a special extra show, joined by special guests and live audience. Strictly come Dancing favourite Gethin Jones returns and giving a sneak view of the action at the rehearsals at Elstree Studios.ahead of the live shows. Ian Waite will return to analyse the couples in training, with professional dancers Chloe Hewitt and Neil Jones as regular contributors.
