Margate theme park offers free entry to visitors
Dreamland, the Margate theme park in Kent, that reopened a year ago after an £18 million restoration, ran into difficult times and went into administration. Administrators of the seaside attraction has announced free entry for visitors just weeks after the park entering administration
Administrators Duff & Phelps believe the park has a future, will be kept open throughout summer and to attract more visitors will be allowed free entry. Visitors get free entertainment at the bandstand and need only pay per ride, that are priced between £1 and £4. Or they can buy a wristband for unlimited ride. Smaller visitors under 2.25m height are now being allowed and with a lower wristband price. The CEO at Dreamland, Eddie Kemsley, said that having trialled all pricing models in 2015 and receiving customer feedback, this new model is the best option. Those with membership continue to get free entry and unlimited rides.
