Free tickets to Northern Ireland Open tournament at Galgorm Castle
The Northern Ireland Open will take place from 6th August to the 9th August, at the Galgorm Castle in Ballymena, County Antrim. It’s the 3rd consecutive year of the golf tournament, which marks the return of the European Challenge Tour to the province. The Northern Ireland Open (NI Open) is once again offering free tickets and the general public have only to register online to enter free.
The tournament has broken records for spectator attendance earlier and this time has been awarded a prime date on the calendar. The date change implies that there will be no clash of dates with regular tournaments of the European Tour event. It also paves the way for many tour regulars, who will strengthen the field. Michael Hoey has signed-up for the 3rd consecutive year as Tournament Ambassador. He is one of the household names on show and a 5-time European Tour winner.
The Director of Galgorm Castle Estates and also Tournament Director for NI Open, Gary Henry, said they were delighted with the new date and look forward to some of the best golf players of Europe and beyond. The spectators on the ground will also enjoy the dedicated and successful Food Festival again, he added. World-class golfers and major champions Rory McIlroy and Darren Clarke will also be in the field.
Free taster session to sing aloud and slim down with Rock Choir

Free activities at World Snow Day events
The World Snow Day, which is a par of the international campaign of FIS, falls on 18th January (2015) and snowfall is expected across the north mountains this week. Glencoe Mountain Resort and also the Nevis Range (in Lochaber, The Highlands of Scotland) expects a good turnout and favourable conditions for celebrating World Snow Day on this Sunday.
Activities planned in Glencoe centre include an igloo building show, snowman making competition and snowtrax rides. There’s also free sledging and free chairlift access for children, and also several children’s races. Activities are also planned at Nevis Range (near Fort Williams) that includes snowman building contest, special offers on snow-shoe hire and free sledging for kids under 5. Glenshee Ski Centre has planned a full day of activities that includes free taster sessions in snowboarding and skiing, free use of beginners lift, ski demonstration and a snow sculpture competition.
