Free seminar for parents and carers of people with autism
Olga Bogdashina, President of the Autism Society will conduct a free seminar for parents and carers for people suffering from autism. Olga Bogdashina has written several books on Asperger’s Syndrome and autism. The seminar will be held on January 9 at 1.30pm on Rockingham Development Centre.

Autism is a condition where in the person suffers from impaired social interaction and verbal and non-verbal communication. Also, the patient performs repetitive and restricted behaviour.
Free event to value collectibles
A free event is being organised for evaluating collectibles at Clacton’s Princes Theatre soon. So, residents can bring their collectibles the the venue on 14 January, for expert valuation by the team from Lockdales, between 9:30am and 1:30pm.
A host of items or valuables can be valued and they include gold, silver, bank-notes, stamps, coins, tokens, medals and militaria, de-activated weapons, bayonets, swords, watches and clocks. Other articles that can be evaluated at the free event are sports programmes and tickets of pre-1960s, postcards, cigarette cards, antiquarian books, scientific instruments and antiques, rare documents, maps and ephemera.
Festive Park run on New Year’s Day
The free event run is being organised on New Year’s Day, for all to participate in the Darlington Parkrun. The event is open to people of all ages and abilities, and are welcome to cover the 5 kilometre route and be timed. The free event is being held at Darlington’s South Park, starting at 10.30am.
