Free concert Music in the Vineyard at Farnham
A free concert will be organised on 26th February (Sunday) by Farnham Town Council. The Music in the Vineyard Concert will run from 3pm to 5pm, in the Vineyard Church on Union Road. The band Out of Shadows will be playing songs from the 1960s, such as by Cliff Richards, The Shadows, The Beatles, The Searchers, Roy Orbison and others.
Visitors are welcome to the concert at any time, just as in the Music in the Meadows concerts. Farnham Assist will host the charity tea tent, where refreshments will be available. This free event is the second and final concert for the winter here and the council will be considering about further concerts to be held in 2018. Music in the Meadow is the summertime programme, to be held at Gostrey Meadow, starting on 4th June.
The lead member for tourism and events of the council, Councillor Jill Hargreaves, said the first Music in the Vineyard concert, held in January, was a great success. People who attended it pointed out how the music cheered up the otherwise gloomy winter afternoon, she added.

The BBC Asian Network show, now in its second year, promises to be bigger and better, with the show to be hosted at Eventim Apollo, in Hammersmith (London), on 25th February (Saturday). The show promises to bring in some of the best Asian acts from the UK. Together with them will be also world-class musicians from South Asia, performing together with not only some new , but also presenting on stage some of the greatest hits.
The line-up of acts to be featured include- Jazz, the Crown Prince of Bhangra, Badshah, the popular Indian rapper, Zack Knights, the British Asians, Fateh, the Canadian rapper, with also Astha Gill, Jasmine Sandlas, Arjun Kanungo and more.
