Free workshop on cyber security to be held in Eastbourne
A free cybersecurity workshop will be held in Sussex Downs College (East Sussex, Eastbourne campus) for those in businesses. The workshop will focus on the risks posed to small and medium businesses by cybercrime and to protect from such threats. The seminar will be hosted by the Sussex-based PAV i.t. service’s cybersecurity expert and its managing director, Jason Fry. It will be held on 24th February (Friday) between 10am and 2pm.
Attendees to the free workshop will be provided by Jason Fry valuable insights and information into how potential cyber attacks can be minimised, with also the little known tricks and techniques, used to dupe targets by fraudsters, shown in an eye -opening demonstration. The expert also said one of the biggest threats for businesses in UK, is cyber attacks and SMEs bear the brunt in particular. He added that 74% of SMEs and such businesses suffer attacks, costing such companies over £1 billion in damage in the last 12 months, according to a recent Government report. The first step is to understand the potential risks and ensure the company is properly protected, he remarked.

Free events at Dartmoor Pony Heritage Trust
The Dartnoor Pony Heritage Trust (DPHT) is a charity aiming to preserve and protect the traditional Dartmoor ponies. The charity will e encourageing visitors to one of its free events on 19th February (Sunday) . Bothe adults and children are wecome, so too are families looking for half-term fun, to meet the team of Dartmoor ponies where they can work with them and groom them. Learn all about the work to help keep these traditional ponies in Dartmoor. Also find out more about the conservationwork at Bellever. The Purke centre will open to public again on 5th March (Sunday), 19th March, 2nd April, 16th April, 30th April, offering the public special Easter activities.
