Free event Visit Essex Tourism Show coming soon
The 20th annual Visit Essex Tourism and Leisure Show will be soon back. The show is totally free and offers a variety of brilliant family days out. The free show will be held on 25th February, Thursday, at the Charter Hall in Colchester. There is such variety being offered at the Tourism and Leisure Show, with thousands of terrific ideas for family days out, unforgettable experiences, short breaks and such great offers from more than 60 attractions, sporting venues and many more. Exhibitors include Lee Valley Regional Park and Colchester United FC, for sports fans. Some of the country’s renowned country homes, gardens, castles and even the award winning Colchester Zoo are included as Essex’s exhibitors, besides the 15 racecourses.
Eight companies will be serving food for visitors at the Taste area, that includes Rossi Ice Cream, Cheese and Pie Man, and others. The show has traditionally brought in some great destinations for shopping, exploring and thrill sharing. Ireland, which is nearer to Scotland, has its group travel specialists, a wealth of hotels and locations richly represented here. A complimentary coach service, the Talisman Coach Lines, will be shuttling to and fro between Colchester North Station and the venue, for the train passengers visiting.
Chairman of Visit Essex, George Keiffer, says there’s something for everyone at the free show. The Tourism and Leisure Show reflects the county which is a gateway to Europe, as Essex and the rest of the region have much to offer to all, whether they be gastronomes, culture or history buffs, or adrenaline junkies, he commented.
Free Valentine’s evening to celebrate love stories with Pipa Croft
A free event is being organised for book-lovers, to spend an evening with the award-winning author, Pipa Croft. Book loving participants can celebrate romantic fiction and love stories with the author at the free event being organised at 7:00pm, on 12th February, Thursday, at the Waterstones, in Stafford. Pipa Croft will be inviting readers on sharing the romantic reads that are their favourites and be also talking to them about romantic-fiction writing. Copies of her Oxford Blue triology, consisting of ‘The First Time We Met’, ‘The Second Time I Saw You’ and ‘Third Time Lucky’, will be signed by her. Her Oxford Blue series of romantic novels, published by Penguin Books, has been well received and the series has become a best-seller on iTunes and Amazon.com, in several countries. It has been nominated in 2014, for a Festival of Romance award. The author was born in the Lichfield area and has lived here most of her life. Free tickets to the UK Baby & Toddler Show at Liverpool
