The free service will run between midnight on 31st December to 5am on 1st January, as run last year and Edinburgh Trams hope the service through the night into New Year’s Day will add to everyone’s celebrations.
The free tram service will run for every 20 mins between the Edinburgh Airport and the West End. In fact, to help commuters, they have teamed up with the organisers of Edinburgh’s Hogmanay- Underbelly, to help them enjoy a packed programme of celebrations.
The celebrations are produced on behalf of the City of Edinburgh Council by Underbelly, that start on 30th December, in the heart of the city, with the Torchlight Procession. It reaches a spectacular climax against the iconic backdrop of Edinburgh Castle, with a dazzling display of fireworks, as the bells ring in the new year.
MD of Edinburgh Trams, Lea Harrison, said the city attracts thousands of visitors from around the world, thanks to the Hogmanay, which makes Edinburgh arguably the best place to celebrate a New Year in the world. They are delighted to to once again help visitors make the most of this special night and to enjoy afterwards a safe trip home, the MD added. Lightwood Games of Staffordshire is trying to spread some Christmas cheer, with their new release this week of a special demo, a holiday-themed playable version of Pic-a-Pix Deluxe, on Nintendo Switch. It is available from 19th December, Tuesday, on the Nintendo eShop and features in various sizes, 12 Christmas picture puzzles. This special version includes co operative play for up to 4 players and with all features of the full game.

A free trial version of the game is available from 19th December. The full game will be available on Nintendo eShop for download from 4th January, 2018 and is open for pre-orders now.
