Cowes Christmas Festival, free event at Cowes Yacht Haven
Cowes Christmas Festival will be brought by Red Funnel to the Cowes Yacht Haven on the 19th and 20th of December. The 2-day event will be filled with a host of festive entertainment and a quality exhibitors. Visitors can see the best quality of produce, gifts, art and crafts from the Isle of Wight, at the Cowes Yacht Haven, which will be transformed into a festive extravaganza for Christmas, hosting over 50 confirmed exhibitors. Exhibitors include the Isle of Fudge, Isle of Wight Distillery, The Garlic Farm and Beautiful Isle of Wight Photography.
Red Funnel, the ferry operator, promotes the use of produce from the Isle of Wight. There will be live cookery demonstrations by talented local chefs who will display their professional techniques when making special recipes. The free event will have other entertainment, including live music, free craft-making for kids and Vintage Vacations Santa’s grotto.
Marketing & Communications Director, Jonathan Green, at the Red funnel, said they are happy to have the event here for the third consecutive year and stressed it’s importance to showcase the high quality food and drink form local producers. They themselves champion local produce and source form the local area a high quantity, he added. Cowes Yacht Haven’s operations manager, Ian Gregory, said the free event attracts visitors from the island and mainland, who want to pick some unusual gifts, try out the best available produce and enjoy festive fun days.
Free activities at Cheese and Chilli Festival coming to Guildford
The fans of cheese and chilli will have fun-filled days out soon. The Cheese and Chilli Festival 2016, is to be held over 23rd and 24th July at Shelford Park in Guildford. The festival will feature a market with varieties of regional and local cheeses, plus chilli-based products form all over the world and lots of hot samples to taste. The festival will also have a shopping village and a craft fair with a wide range of locally produced crafts on show.
On behalf of Downton Brewery, there will be a real ale bar. Worley’s Cider will supply a cider bar too. There will be live music acts, a children’s procession, a samba band and a free samba workshop too. Kids will have face-painting, Punch and Judy, circus skills show, magic shows, rides and balloon modelling. Festival organiser Simon Stewart, pointed out to the free events and activities available that will surely give fun-filled days to the whole family.
