Free workshops on self-protection in Moray
An international bodyguard with wide international experience will be holding free self-protection workshops in Moray, Scotland. Lee Sansum has provided professional security for clients the world over since 1995, that includes various government officials of Britain, Princess Diana and even Head of European Mission in Libya. He runs a martial arts academy in Elgin and has also taught self-protection to Somali Special Forces. He intends to run training courses across the world during 2015.
This time the security consultant will focus closer to home and see that people of Moray have a safe Christmas. With the theme of keeping safe during the festive season, he will be holding 2 free self-protection workshops. One will be in Forres and the other in Elgin. Free activities in Scunthorpe for Christmas season
A lot of free activities are being held in Scunthorpe in the run-up to Christmas, thanks to the North Lincolnshire Council. A free laser challenge and an inflatable maze in the Church Square for free entertainment, is part of it. Events will be held each Thursday, right up to Christmas, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. The council will be hosting a number of free activities at “Local” shop, on Cole Street, on 3rd, 10th and 17th December, and for toddlers and children, from 10:30am to 3:30pm. Enjoy the rhymes, songs, simple crafts, etc. “Local” shop will host Adult Community Learning on 4th December, from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Artist Helen Piercy will hold an illustration/animation workshop on 6th December, from 10:30am to 3:30pm. Drop in for the Elvis Puppet Disco workshop on 13th December, Saturday, from 10:30am to 3:30pm, held by artist Dominic Heffer. There are taster sessions too being held and other creative activities. All are free activities. The photographer Graeme Oxby will presenting an interesting exhibition which features photos shot of impersonators of Elvis across the country.
Free fitness camps by ex-Royal Marine in Deeside
People in Deeside will be benefited by the ‘FitCamp’ started recently by the ex-Royal Marine, Grant Thomson, the first at Banchory He has been working as a fitness instructor for many years and he along with Orla and Leo, his family members, will be running short-run intense fitcamps over 2015. These fitcamps are 100% free sessions and anyone from age 14 and above can join, regardless of ability. Their focus is on fun and a healthy active lifestyle for the community.
Before starting off on the course, each participant will be assigned a personal wellness coach. The fitcamp is a 4-week course starting with a fitness and evaluation test. It has 8 classes of physical training, with wellness evaluation, nutrition education, fitness challenges and body transformation coaching. A second evaluation is done in each 4-week period of the free fitness camp. The final fitcamp ends in an awards night, to celebrate everyone’s success and get recognition for their efforts.
