Free taster sessions by Korfball Club at Littleport
Here is a chance to try a hand at a Dutch ball sport called Korfball. The Littleport-Lions is ready to encourage anybody to take up this unconventional sport. Their Korfball-Club will be offering free sessions for beginners. Free taster sessions are offered throughout September for persons of all abilities, as the club wants to get new players, after trying their hand at it.
This sport has similarities to basketball and netball, as players, of two opposing teams, have to throw a ball through a basket without a bottom. This basket is on top of a pole that is 3.5 metres high. A team comprises of 8 players. The club (in East Cambridgeshire) is encouraging both men and women players who are aged above 13 years, to take up the sport. The free taster sessions are to be held on all Tuesdays of September, in the evening from 8pm to 9.30pm, at the Littleport Leisure-Centre. Free entry to Festejar Spanish festival, Manchester
Manchester has got a 3-day festival lined up for you this summer, celebrating all things Spanish, and called Festejar. The unique festival, a Latin celebration of food, music and life, is brought to you by the Instituto Cervantes and the makers of Festiwich. Have the taste of this kind of life and spirit on 5th, 6th and 7th September, aimed at all ages, at the Albert Square. No need for a ticket, it’s all free. So make sure you don’t miss this free event, the Festejar. See some brilliant musicians perform. See Iza from Barcelona perform her Flamenco inspired music. Enjoy the music of the Spanish crossover band, Break Latino. Watch the Cuba Vida Band perform and much more. Free Tai Chi Sessions in Edinburgh
Free Tai Chi sessions are being held in Edinburgh, the venue being The Healthy Life Centre located in Central Edinburgh. The free taster session is slated for Tuesday, the 2nd September of 2014 at 7 pm. The free Tai Chi classes are ideal for beginners, with a relaxed and informal atmosphere that is great for both the mental and physical health of the participants.
