Free entry for Herne Bay Festival 2014
The twenty-second event of the popular annual Herne Bay festival will be held in Herne Bay, the sea-side town located in the Kent County, from Saturday, the 23rd of August, 2014 till Sunday, the 31st of August, 2014. This is a grand and gala event comprising of more than 80 free events in an exciting extravaganza that spans for a period of almost 10 days. The Herne Bay Festival, a totally free event, is open to people of all ages and abilities.
The central theme of this year’s Herne Bay Festival is Take-to-the-Skies, that includes events as well as activities such as sand sculptures, Alfresco ballroom dance, fireworks display, workshops, live music, local bands, giant picnics, rock competitions, lantern parades along with lots of other fun filled games, towards entertaining all residents as well as visitors. Herne Bay Festival welcomes one and all with free entry for everyone!
Free Festival of Sport at Glasgow
You are welcome to the free festival of sport being held at Glasgow from the 1st of September to the 14th of September, 2014. Its all free, sports and games of a wide variety are up for grabs at Glasgow, so that you can find different ways for getting active, meeting new friends while also discovering your inner potential for becoming a sporting star! This exclusive festival of sport program 2014 is absolutely free for all to participate!
Glasgow Sport takes pride in introducing this festival of sport supporting all the local sports clubs while also providing both visitors and residents great opportunities for becoming active as well. Following the recently held commonwealth games, Glasgow has gained more prominence while also inspiring scores of people to take up new sports! Free taster sessions in kayaking, surfing and coasteering
This summer there will be free taster sessions offered for surfing, Kayaking and coasteering by the Anglesey Central Environment Project to encourage people to tke up such recreation. Anglesey County Council will be funding free paddle boarding sessions, coasteering and Kayaking. No need of booking. Borthwen beach (at Rhoscolyn) will run free activities all day on 22 August. No previous experience is required for joining the kayaking sessions. Clothing and equipment will be provided. For family sessions the minimum age is 8 years. For the coasteering sessions too, no previous experience required and clothing plus equipment will be given. Recommended minimum age is 10 years for children.
