Franco offers free ice-cream
Here’s good news for all those going for the Olympics! Strawberry ice-creams from Kempston-based Franco’s Ices are given to all those attending 2012 Olympics games. So, don’t ever miss it. News about this has already been announced by the Bedford Midweek. So far, about a million strawberry splits have been distributed to all those visiting the Olympics held at
London.
According to the director of Franco, Pasquale Tanzarella, last year they were approached by Stagecoach Group who runs East Midlands Trains. He also added that he was amazed to see everybody with lollies around. Apart from producing 15 million ice-cream pieces more they also export ice-cream and lollies to various countries such as Cyprus and Belgium.

A free Brass Band park concert for you
A free concert will be given on Sunday, August 12, at Grove House Gardens, Dunstable. The concert will be given by the Milton Keynes Band from 3pm to 4.30pm., as part of the Dunstable Town Council’s season of free band concerts on Sunday afternoons. Dunstable is probably the oldest charter town situated in Bedfordshire.
The Grove Theatre was opened in April, 2007, and provides a 780-seat centre for arts and culture. Find here overlooking the lovely landscaped gardens of Grove Home Gardens, bars and restaurants. Dunstable is steeped in history and rich heritage but is a forward moving town. So don’t miss the “M K Brass” performing, a First Section brass band based in Milton Keynes, one of the top bands in Southern England.
