‘Water Wonderland’ is theme of the 2018 Diss Carnival

February 11th, 2018 by Sandy

Organisers of the Diss Carnival for 2018 have announced the theme for the carnival, which attracted last year a record number of visitors. The theme ‘Water Wonderland’ also aims to celebrate the greatest of attractions of Diss, the market town in South Norfolk, which is The Mere, a 6 acre natural inland lake, one of the deepest in the country. Water features in many of Diss town’s emblems and crest, besides being a focal point.

The organisers of the carnival hope the theme will give inspiration to all participants and visitors to the event. The theme tends to highlight pirates, mermaids, shoals of fish and whales, which are just some of the things that the carnival will revolve around. The organisers are looking forward to more residents and businesses to be involved in the free event, the Diss Town Carnival, which will be held on 10th June, Sunday.
