Tower Hamlets organises every year many different free events that support LGBT History Month. As part of this, the London Borough of Tower Hamlets is welcoming keen photographers to enter a photography competition, organised by ELOP and the borough council. ELOP is an innovative charity for lesbian and gay mental health. The theme of the competition is the the lives of the LGBT community working and living here. The works to be submitted will be added in the borough archives’ heritage collection. Everybody is encouraged to submit their work.
A free event to launch the contest will be hosted at the Local History Library & Archives, on 16th February, at 6:00pm, with food and drinks provided at the venue on Mile End Road. It will present the details regarding entry to the competition and the prizes.
