Thousands of free tickets for troops and families, this summer

May 12th, 2015 by Sandy

This summer Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park and will see AEG Live donating thousands of tickets to the country’s troops, so that they and their families will be able to enjoy and watch a large number of superstars performing, like Kylie Minogue, The Stroke, Beck, The Who, Chic ft. Nile Rogers and Union, including comedians such as Jim Jefferies, Ardal O’Hanlon, Ed Byrne and many others.

The tickets are the initiative of Tickets for Troops, a military charity. In recognition of the soldier’s dedication and commitment and in acknowledgement of their work, the charity offers on behalf of donors, free tickets to various events. In the last 5 years, the charity has allocated more than 700,000 free tickets to them and their loved ones. It also shows the great support that UK’s entertainment, music, theatre and sports industries have for those in the military.

The COO at AEG Live, Colin Chappel, said they are happy to confirm AEG Live’s continued support and welcome the troops and their families to the best shows. The charity’s Director of Operations, Veronica Bamford, said they were extremely grateful for AEG’s continued generosity.
