The Weekender is a free weekend event announced at the Old Granada Studios, in Manchester, to be held from 20 June, Saturday, to 21 June, Sunday, which is a 2-day event that will be bringing together great independent brands, design-makers and local food producers to the heart of the venue- The Workshop. It will play host to the debut event, transforming the re-purposed industrial space into a creative playground.
Weekend tourists, collectors, foodies and families will be able to choose and buy from a unique selection of fashion, home wares and fashion. Ceramicist Joe Hartley, designer Julia Roy Williams, jewellery Mellor, luxury online store ObjectStyle and Manchester boutique Lissom & Mudster, and others, will be there with seldom available offers. Visitors will also find unique dining of Mary-Ellen McTague and the mobile cocktail bar- The Venezia. The Weekender filled with free events, will include live performances, including DJ Will Tramp, for the whole day and multiple offerings from the best drinks providers of the region at The Workshop. The PlayROOM will offer arts and crafts workshop for children and parents to enjoy creative activity. The north’s finest independent designers will also be showcased at this truly unique event.
