The SO Festival is back in towns across Est Lindsey and kicks off at Spilsby, on 27 June (Tuesday), at the High Street Car Park. The festival featuring over 40 events, aims to entertain residents and visitors alike. It includes a circus workshop and Southpaw Dance Company’s performance that’s worked out with groups ahead of show.
On 29 June (Tuesday), the festival moves into Skegness, with Sheesham & Lotus & Son kicking off the show with performances on the day and throughout the festival. Other events included are the SO Cake Fest, calling people to make an edible map showing East Lindsey. Another is a community choir workshop, plus Garslington Opera for All, then a show by Strong Lady Productions called The Strong Lady. Other attractions are a Clash of Drums parade by Les Commandos from France, jugglers and statuesque stilt walking. There’s also Deabru Beltek from Spain and Salvos presented by Flame Oz.
The SO Festival will include over 40 events across East Lindsey, in Spilsby, Horncastle, Alford, Mablethrope and Skegress, from 27 June to 2 July. The festival director, Lorna Fulton, said there is something for everyone at the festival, which is a great event for the family and all acts are not only interesting, entertaining and innovative, but free and accessible.
