Artists of the River Project are running an interactive exhibition this month, at the Sun Pier, in Chatham. Free creative workshops are being run with 200 school students of Medway, by Katie Brookes, Elizabeth McCarten, Kathryn Maple, Rebecca Harper, Alison Boult and Nikki Gardham, who are the artists and curators. The exhibition is running from 6th to 28th January. It gives people here the chance to contribute to the collaborative project and work with the artists curating it. Sponsorship for art materials is by John Purcell and Fedrigoni UK, paper distributors, with Great Art and Cass Art, the art suppliers.
The River Project had the first of the 6 schools on 9 January, with 27 students from Luton Junior School joining the workshop. Free workshops will be run over the weekends, collaborating with the free exhibition, open to the whole community. More information about the events and the River Project are on their Facebook page.
