The Oxford International Art Fair is an opportunity for art lovers to view some of the most contemporary art. The free event is returning for its 5th time, running from 23rd to 25th February, at the Oxford Town Hall, this year. Bringing under one roof the most innovative new works of both emerging and established artists and galleries, it will feature extensive collections of illustrations, paintings, photographs, ceramics, sculptures and jewellery. The artists themselves will be presenting most of it, for sale or just to be viewed, for both novices and art collectors.
Organiser Joelle Dinnage curates the event with Natl Vallye, her business partner from The Global Art Agency. The art on show would have come from over 26 countries to reach Oxford and includes a sizeable British collection.
Joelle Dinnage remarked that the show is a great opportunity for art collectors and enthusiasts to buy unique pieces directly from artists. To get the most innovative and contemporary art shown at the fair, they have carefully selected the galleries and artists, she added. Exclusive events, such as the opening night’s VIP sneak preview, or voting for the best work on display, all make this event for an exhibitor and visitor, a special experience, she explained.
Highlights of the show include Han Sheng Huang, the Taiwanese artist and blogger, James Earley, the portrait artist, Edward Ofosu, the painter, Radi Nedelchev, the Bulgarian artist and Oxford’s own Jenny Boden, the abstract artist.
The free event will be held from 23 February, on Friday, from 6pm to 9pm, and the following Saturday and Sunday, from 11am to 5pm. Free entry is for the weekend days, but the art preview on Friday is ticketed (at £10) and are available in advance at the website- oxfordinternationalartfair.com.
