The Midlands celebrate free weekend of Open Heritage Days

The Midlands is celebrating the Heritage Open Days with a host of free events open to the public. This celebration is in its 20th year, which is being celebrated over a weekend, to be held from 11 September (Thursday) to 14 September (Sunday).

The celebration is holding a lot of activities with the purpose of involving people and for all to discover the places full of historic locations, be it WWII schoolrooms, medieval Guildhalls or Sikh temples. Choose from free events like fairs, themed events, guided tours or visiting historical sites. There’s also a interesting Cake Bake Challenge, where one can participate and enjoy the event. Some of the many events are- Middleton Hall Heritage Open Day, Tamworth; Classic Car, Commercial and Military Vehicle Rally, Stoke-on-Trent; Abbey Theatre, Nuneaton; County Buildings Martin Street, Stafford; Discover the Battlefields of the Great War, Leek and Ghost Tour History & Memorabilia Exhibition, Dudley, amongst many others.
