The Lakes Comic Art Festival is happening again at Kendal

The Lake International Comic Art Festival is happening again during 14 – 16 October this year. The comic book convention takes over the whole town of Kendal in Cumbria, on the edge of the Lake District, for 3 days. The festival, the only event of its kind in UK, celebrates great works of comic art from all over the world, will feature comic artists from across the globe, as well as workshops, masterclasses, films, performances, exhibitions, comic trails, live drawing and independent publishers and retailers.

The events programme is an opportunity to interact with some of the leading comic writers and artist from around the world. Besides a free Family Zone with drop-in activities for all ages, there’s a series of wonderful workshops for teenagers and kids. To name a few exhibitors found at the Comic Clock Tower marketplace, they are Soaring Penguin, Page 45, Forbidden Planet, Disconnected Press, illustrator James Chapman, Italian illustrator/cartoonist Silvia Carrus, illustrator/graphic designer Simon Russell, writer/artist Sarah Graley, independent publisher/writer Tom Ward and Cartoonists’ Club of Great Britain.
