This summer will see thousands of free events taking place across the country, with sessions to suit the whole family. The Appleby Tennis Club will offer tennis for free, as part of Great British Tennis Weekend. Chair of Appleby Tennis Club, Annie Weir, is welcoming all to come to the club, on 23rd July, Sunday, for a session from 2pm to 5pm. You don’t have to worry about the standard of play as this is a mixed-ability club and mainly plays for fun.
Bring along your racquet, or if you don’t have one, the club will provide one, if you are new to tennis. You can have a go with your younger children at the Mini-tennis set up. A half-price family membership is being offered for the rest of the season. Refreshments include cake for participants.
