The International Tabletop Day will be returning to Sutton Coldfield this year on 28th April (Saturday). The two events to be held are aimed at people who have a passion for tabletop gaming and also connect and share with others. This event was a huge success in 2017 and once again Sutton Coldfield’s Real Life Church will be hosting it at the Sutton Coldfield Grammar School for Girls, in Jockey Road.
There are two events being hosted, one from 2.30pm to 4.30pm and the other from 8pm to 10.30pm, at the same venue. In the family friendly afternoon session, a wide variety of board games are open to all ages to play and enjoy, from 2:30pm to 4:30pm. The adult only session will be from 8pm to 10:30pm, in the evening.
Neil Kearsley, organiser of the event, said most of the games are simple to learn, giving all an equal chance of winning and nobody is sure who has won, until the final score of points. He pointed out these games are different from typical roll-and-move games like Cluedo, Monopoly and the like. He added that playing games is a great way of spending a good time with friends and family. These events help people discover a love of games and to meet like-minded people.
Participants are asked to bring their own drinks. Snacks will be provided at the venue by Real Life Church. Although this is a free event, booking is required and tickets are available via the Eventbrite website. To book at either or both events, go to the site findreallife.co.uk/calendar. Or send an email to reallifechurchgames@gmail.com. Or you can follow them on their Facebook page.
