Would you like to make a memorable day out with your family? Here you can plan for a visit to Wildwood Discovery Park situated at north-east of Kent in England. There is running activities of “Summer Fun” at Wildwood Trust located at Canterbury Rd, Herne Common, Herne Bay CT6 7LQ, UK between 25th July to 2nd September 2018.
Wildlife Trust is a registered charity surrounded by 40+ acres of beautiful scenic natural woodland where you can see british Wildlife. The charity takes care of more than 200 native animals such as wolves, bears, bison, arctic foxes, foxes, owls, deer, wild boar, red squirrels, lynx, badgers, wild horses, badgers, beavers and many more that you can find when you go around the park. Your kids can enjoy the wildlife environment and meet such wild animals along with they can enjoy tube slide, drop slide, tree top towers, wild fort, climbing walls, rope bridges etc and taste food at their cafe. You can find plenty of free activities which is arranged by the trust to stay entertained in this summer holidays.
Free Activities and Crafts
- Daily Talks: There is a talk about history/ behaviour of animals such as fallow deer, wild boar, wallabies, Raven and otter with their team. The talk about wild boar at 11 am, Fallow Deer at 12 pm, Wallaby at 1 pm, Otter at 2 pm and Raven at 3 pm.
- Meet the Animal: You can get a chance to meet one of their friendly critters nearby and also snakes, ferrets, creepy crawlies, dormice, bats, water voles, harvest mice and water shrews will be coming in their regular daily sessions.
- Birds of Prey: You can meet their native birds of prey “swoop & soar” in their daily flying show if weather permits.
- Touch tables: Come close to the nature and have a talk with skulls, antlers, furs and other tactile animal.
- Mask Making: You can find animals’ amazing faces and structure which help the animals to survive in the wild and also try out to craft your own animal mask.
- Food habits of animals: The park has more than 200 animals and will follow various nutritional foods. Here you can find out what type of food that are given to the animals to keep them stay healthy and how to feed them.
- Zoo Enrichment: Animals also feel bored and required some motivation. Find out how to keep them entertained and mentally fit and healthy.
- Bushcraft & Nature Walks: You can meet Steve Kirk, a bushcraft expert and know about the natural world.
- Face Painting: Kids can find animal face painting in their faces with face painting sessions.
- Summer Trails: There will be educational trails that will be taking place in this summer across the park. You can put your completed trails in the draw bucket for prize and get a chance to win gifts. The Wildwood is open from 10 am every day on all days and will be closed at 6 pm (Last entry allowed at 5 pm).
