The Stratford Festival of Motoring is due next month at the town centre of Stratford-Upon-Avon. The free event attracts nearly 20,000 extra visitors and is an annual May Day Bank Holiday event, that will be held on the 1st and 2nd May, this year. The event gets a new major sponsorship from Listers, the local motoring dealership, this time.
The historic town-centre streets will be gearing up to host the 2-day spectacular event, with over 300 classic and high-performance motor vehicles sounding up and joining a cavalcade to tour the town, before parking to display their worth for admiring visitors. Streets shut off for the show will be Henley Street, Bridge Street, Meer Street, Wood Street, Sheep Street and Rother Market.
Thousands will get close to admire everything from vintage classics and unusual cars to supercars. The free event will have a family-friendly atmosphere with street entertainers, live music and themed entertainment. Ruth Wood, event organiser, from Stratforward BID, appreciated that Listers Group recognised and supported the event at their doorstep.
