Southwark Playhouse is giving 1,500 free tickets to schools

Shakespeare for Schools is an annual project of Southwark Playhouse that provides free tickets to schools across the borough. The project offering 1,500 free tickets, returns in January of next year with The Tempest, which will run from 5th to 28th January 2017, at the Southwark Playhouse, Newington Causeway, London.

The 90-minute production of the Tempest is by Amy Draper, who has had previous successes of plays she directed at the South London Theatre and at The Centre of the World. The production features live music by Andrew Meredith, the percussionist, combining dynamic ensemble performances, with vibrant Shakespearean language. The play directed by Amy Draper, a Off-West End Award nominee, has design by Ele Slade, a Off-West End Award winner. The play has stars like Peter Caulfield, Benjamin Cawley, Sarah Malin and others.
