The Scottish Natural Heritage and other partners organises Scotland’s Nature Festival, which starts off on 17th May (today) and includes a number of fee events, across the Borders. Most of the free events are being conducted by organisations like countryside parks, nature reserves, ranger services, gardens, faith organisations, NGOs and community groups.
Events held in the Borders include activities on 1st June at Harestanes Countryside Visitor Centre, Ancrum. A one-off Fleece, presented at Tweeddale Museum, Peebles. Demonstrations include stick dressing, whisky ladle carving, bottle-feeding lambs, spinning and knitting. Launch of the museum’s exhibition- Shepherding the Tweed. Events like the Big Hare Day with hare themed crafts for 4-year olds and above are held.
