The Stour River will be hosting a Canoeing and Kayaking Open Day on 30th April, Saturday, from 11:00pm to 4:00pm. Anybody thinking about canoeing will be given a taster in a canoe or kayak at Wimborne Riverside, Dreamboats. The minimum age for the taster is 8 years and those below this age are not normally allowed, but at the coach’s discretion.
Those confident to get into the water and no other skills is required to take part. Instructors to help give the free taster come from Poole Harbour Canoe Club. Dreamboats will also offer rowing boats on hire as it is the start of the season. People are asked to bring their own refreshments. Children brought along to the free taster session can try out the new children’s play area.
