Return of Winterfest fun to Clydebank in weekend

Clydebank will have fun-filled activities hotting up this weekend. The much awaited Winterfest will be returning to Clydebank on 26 November and promises to be bigger than ever. To kick-off the 3-week long celebrations from the Town Hall, Santa as the special guest, along with his trusted reindeer, will arrive for the grand opening from 11am to 3:30pm. Boys and girls listed will be able to meet Santa between 11am and 3pm, every weekend, until 16 December (Saturday).

Visitors during the grand opening can play games and browse the school craft fair. They can make their own Christmas craft presents for family and friends. There’s an art session for creative toddlers on Tuesdays, from 1.30pm to 2.30pm, and on Thursdays, from10am to 11am.m. There’s also a life drawing workshop on 30th November, but is ticketed. However there are lots of free events. There’s a jewellery workshop on 2nd December, from 1pm to 3:30pm, with Addison Malloy the Frank Carousel designer.

Ceramic workshops will be held from 1pm to 3pm, on the Sundays of 3rd and 10th December. There’s a screening of ‘It’s A Wonderful Life’, at the Town Hall, from 2pm to 4:30pm, on 9th December. Younger movie fans can sing-along, during the screening of Frozen, with Elsa and team , on 6th December, from 2pm to 4pm. The panto version of ‘The Wizard of Oz’ will be presented by Hopscotch Theatre Company, on 16th December, from 2pm. Adults can enjoy a cabaret by Flint & Pitch Cabaret, from 7:30pm, on 15th December, with also songs, poetry, musicians and theatre and a bar for those above 18 years, during the event.
