Return of Whizzfizzing Festival to Aylesbury announced

December 23rd, 2017 by Sandy

The Aylesbury Whizzfizzing Festival is returning for the second time to Aylesbury on 30th June (Saturday), 2018. The event will have the theme of ‘Magic and Mystery’ and will celebrate children’s literature and art, with lots of free events lined-up throughout the day, for everyone to attend and enjoy. The day will feature a parade of schoolchildren, the famous giant puppet parade, through the town centre. There will be engaging workshops with also celebrity guests and authors.

The cabinet member for communities of Aylesbury Vale District Council, Angela McPherson, said fantastic community spirit was built, with fantastic crowds drawn into Aylesbury, for last year’s Whizzfizzing Festival. She added that they just can’t wait to announce the line-up for this year’s event, which is getting bigger and better. The cabinet member remarked that their organising committee had worked hard behind the scenes, to bring to Aylesbury a bit of mystery and magic and an announcement due in mid-January will bring more exiting news and will reveal one of the celebrity guests attending. On World Book Day, on 1st March, full details, ticket information and names of special guests, will be released.
