The Radio Academy West branch is organising a free event in Bristol, to be hosted on 20th April, Wednesday, to start promptly at 1900 (7pm), at the BBC Bristol Club, Whiteldles Road. The event celebrates radio made in theWest with a panel of local radio professionals. It is hosted by Paulina Gillespie of Heart’s breakfast.
Talking to Radio Today, the Branch Chair, Nick Bull, said the event helps to find out the latest thinking, about increasing importance of digital content and what makes great radio. Later participants can chat with the panel and other important industry players across the West, he added. The panellist include Ben Poor, Jess Rudkin, Dom Chambers, Faye Leneghan, James Stodd and Clare McGinn. Please book a place to participate although this is a free event, by sending an email before 19th April to nick.bull@bbc.co.uk and arrive at 1830 (6:30pm) on 20th April at the venue before the start.
