QHotels will open its doors, offering a series of free tasters to new golfers. As the largest golf resort operator in UK, the entire group is working to attract more golfers into club membership and to enjoy its benefits. The group is running the Membership Open Weekend, by partnering with NSPCC, from 11th to 13th August, taking place across all its 10 resorts. The free tasters attempt to attract golfers across the entire age-spectrum, from beginners to returners, at all levels of play.
The venues will host attractive events. On the evening of 11th August, Friday, a post-round barbecue will be hosted to highlight the social side of being a member. On 12th August, Saturday, the group will focus on the youngsters, offering free introductory sessions and the chance to get their fist taste of golf. An innovative scheme will offer free membership to juniors along with any sign-up by an adult. In the afternoon, there will be 9-hole competitions for adult players, followed later by an opportunity to meet officials and members of the club, over refreshments. On 13th August, Sunday, starter lessons will be offered to adults completely new to golf, to help them in the first steps of the game. To cap off the Membership Open Weekend and for competitive fun, there are short-format versions of tournaments and a variety of programmes in the afternoon,
