Parents urged to obtain their Free Healthy Start Vitamin drops

Parents of Western Isles have been asked by the healthcare professionals to get their free Healthy Start Vitamin drops. Local NHS is making available the free supply of kid’s essential vitamins to protect the UK children from the risk of inadequate Vitamin D. The latest research has found out that children in the UK, especially in the northern part have low levels of Vitamin D during the winder seasons.

By offering free Healthy Start Vitamin drops, the NHS Western Isles are tackling the Vitamin D deficiency issues in younger children. Parents of babies from 6 months to 4 years are advised to get the free Healthy Start Vitamin drops. The drops contain Vitamins A, C and D that are very essential for the babies. Vitamin A makes the immune system of the bay healthy and Vitamin C helps to retain the healthy tissues. Intake of Vitamin C everyday is very essential as the body does not store Vitamin C. For healthy bones and teeth, Vitamin D is necessary.

Two bottles of these free Vitamin drops are provided for each child. A single bottle will last for eight weeks and the two bottles will last for sixteen weeks. The vitamin drops can be added to liquid food like milk or water.
