Open days at the Academy of Northern Ballet aimed at children

The Academy of Northern Ballet in Leeds, is offering two open weekends for budding young dancers. On 22nd January the academy is hosting open days for general classes, to be held between 9:30am and 12:30pm and again between 1:00pm and 4:40pm. The free events at the academy in Leeds, Yorkshire, is for children who are 9 to 15 years old. Prospective young students will offered a chance to, not only meet academy staff, but tour the facilities and participate in taster sessions.

On 28th January, there’s an open day at its Centre for Advanced Training, to be held between 9:30am and 3:30pm. The advanced training session is for those pursuing dance as a career and aimed at 9 to 12 year old children, giving them also opportunity to participate in a technique class, plus watch the daily training of Northern Ballet dancers.

The manager at the Centre for Advanced Training, Yasmin Delves, said they were proud to offer the highest standard of ballet training to the young in Yorkshire. Whether they take part for fun or for becoming professional, they encourage anyone with interest and passion for dance and help them reach their potential, the manager added.

As an official school of Northern Ballet, the academy offers anyone from kids to adults a range of open classes and gives future professional dancers outstanding training, via its Centre for Advanced Training Programme.
