Partnership between Telefónica and Electronics Arts Inc (EA), the gaming giant is offering O2 customers with an opportunity to benefit from an array of mobile gaming titles. In the coming months the deal will be unveiled in the UK and it will offer O2 customers with three months of EA title downloads. Under this deal, Telefónica could make promotions around titles including Monopoly, The Sims and FIFA.
After the customer’s first download, they will be offered with three months access to EA title downloads for free. Matthew Key, Digital chairman and CEO, at Telefónica said that the deal between EA has put the operator at the centre of mobile gaming. Presently, highest numbers of downloaded apps and the biggest paid mobile content market is games. By introducing such initiative, they are strengthening the connection to the customers.
Bernard Kim, vice President, global social and mobile publishing at EA Mobile said that the deal with Telefónica has helped them expand their audience. Since most of the mobile phone users in Europe use their phones to play games, this move proves to be fruitful. The latest deal will help make their games popular among people. Besides, it will remove all hurdles so that customers can enjoy entire collections from beloved titles.
