Music and free events return to Altrincham

August 3rd, 2017 by Sandy

A month-long festival celebrating live music is getting tuned in Altrincham in Trafford, Greater Manchester. The music festival, Sounds Like Altrincham, comes with a jam-packed line-up. The event will be culminating in the August bank holiday weekend.

Find live music events all around the town centre, with gigs of various styles, from rock to jaz, to folk to reggae and free live performances, organised by the Altrincham Unlimited.

The August bank holiday includes a number of free events. Some of them are- the Goose Green Festival on 26th and 27th August, the King’s Court Summer Festival on 26th and 27th August and the Orange Tree pub hosting live music for a full day and evening.

The Goose Green Festival is taking place over 2 days and following its success in 2016, where over 4,000 people attended. Each day will see performances from 12pm to 7pm, from 16 bands and singers. The square will offer drinks and street food to visitors, plus family entertainment.

BID Manager for Altrincham Unlimited, Katie Bland, said they have worked hard to expand Goose Gren Summer Festival this year to over two days and many locations, with free entry across the board. Details of the festival are on the ‘What’s On’ section of their website- altrinchamunlimited.co.uk.
