Mid Ulster District Council has organised for free taster sessions at its leisure centres at Greenvale, Cookstown, Dungannon and Maghera giving great chance to people to try out activities at free taster sessions.
Councillor of the council Sean McPeake provides new equipment a trail at Dungannon Leisure Centre as a part of Give Leisure A Go. The details of taster sessions at different locations are:
On Sunday – October 14 at Dungannon Leisure Centre between 2 pm to 4 pm
Activities: Free & separate induction/ teen-fit induction at Gym for adult and juniors, Taster sessions in yoga, spinning, circuits and Pilates, free pool sessions, club information and Vouchers for fitness classes.
On Saturday – October 20 at Cookstown Leisure Centre between 2 pm to 4 pm
Activities: Gym free induction, Basketball sessions, Swimming and flume sessions, Jo-Jingles sessions, Ten Pin Bowling, Special Olympics, Climbing Wall, Tai Chi.
On Wednesday – October 31 at Maghera Leisure Centre between 10 am to 12 noon
Activities: Free gym inductions, Free soft play sessions, Free taster sessions.
On Saturday – November 3 at Greenvale Leisure Centre between 2 pm to 4 pm
Activities: Gym: mini induction sessions, yoga, spinning, core and Pilates, Slide and family swim sessions, Bouncy castle, Indoor games and face painting.
The taster sessions are mainly aimed at those who has hesitation to be more active, who can find out what are the activities available at the leisure centres and to try out some activities if they already know about the centres.
Councillor Sean McPeake – Chair of Mid Ulster District Council said that they are hoping that this is a great chance for people who do not have any idea about what their leisure centres offer and to make use of free opportunity to try out various activities available for the entire family. They want the people in the district to get involved more active using the leisure centres and to stay healthy and active.
Each leisure centre will be offering a set of programmes of taster sessions which include gym, spin, yoga, pilates and other exercises, soft play sessions and family swim and slide sessions. Even sports clubs will also available on the day to show what they offer and try out games. On the top of it, for kids, there will also arts & crafts, entertainment, arts and crafts, activities.
