In commemoration of the closing day of the Paralympic Games, Merton Abbey Mills will be hosting a free party for Merton residents.
Merton Abbey Mills has announced that it will be conducting a closing party celebrating the end of the Paralympic Games. The party will also include community amusement that would have live performances and music.
The performers would consist of The Hackney Colliery Band that had performed even during the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games.
They will be accompanied by Native Sun, the hip hop team, No Limits, the pop funk act, Freedom Sound, the 10-piece jazz group, The Autistix, Metro Abbey Opera, solo performers David Grout and Astrid Brook as well as the Wimbledon Community Chorus.
The free programme will be a part of the 2012 Bandstand Marathon that ensure that mover 500 events would happen in bandstands and various other open places through the length and breadth of the UK to commemorate the last day of the Paralympic Games that falls on the 9th of September.
A DJ host would be the master of ceremonies for the local acts for open mic events along with mutually communicative seminars in singing and music. The programme is being conducted in cooperation with London borough of Merton.
The venue of the free Closing Paralympic Ceremony Celebration will be Colour House Theatre, Merton Abbey Mills, Wimbledon on4pm September 9th between 12 noon and 4 pm.
