June 7th, 2017 by Sandy

A pop-up art gallery by sweet-makers Maynards Bassetts will be open between 16th and 17th June, in the Soho area of London. The pop up edible art gallery will present a range of artworks made by using sweets, such as wine gums, jelly babies and liquorice all sorts. Visitors can literally eat some of the displays. But not all of these sweet art can be eaten, such as the display ‘Mona Goes Pop’, which has the Mona Lisa re-imagined in liquorice all sorts and a jelly-bean installation.

Visitors can get to sample and takeaway some of their favourite sweet treats in the floor-to-ceiling pick ‘n’ mix stand here. Free tickets to visit the gallery is available and can be booked online at the Eventbrite website, plus visitors get a takeaway pick ‘n’ mix bag free, a soft drink refreshment free and a chance to create a sweet art of their own. However, the event is open to persons 18 years old and over only.
