The talent and creativity of Burgess Hill in West Sussex will be displayed at the grand festival- Burgess Hill Summer Festival, to be held from 6th June to 14th June. The festival will have 64 events, of which 43 are free events. It is being supported by 43 local groups, individuals and businesses, co-ordinated by the Burgess Hill Town Council. These events are sure to inspire, entertain, delight and amuse those participating or attending, as it has something for all ages.
This year’s festival will be highlighting events like the comedy night of Barnstormers Comedy Club, an evening with famous author Alison MacLeod, Chris Barber the Jazz legend and Debs Newbold’s retelling of Romeo and Juliet. During the first weekend of the festival, the Festival Marquee will be back to host various events at St. John’s Park. The 9-day festival will offer dance, music, art and crafts, comedy, walks, talks, literature, nature, local tours, history, theatre, a quiz, workshops, free events, etc. The festival’s details are available from various community venues, the council’s Help Point, 96 Church Walk and Burgess Hill Library.
