Manchester Free SwimmingFree swimming which was offered at eleven of Manchester’s pools are to be extended. Considering the long term health and well-being of Manchester residents, the local authorities of the city have committed to continue to provide free swimming in 11 of the swimming pools, across the city. The pools are open for residents of the city who are 60 and above of age, during public swimming, and for the 16 and under, during school holidays. Registration forms are available online but all those local residents currently having a free swim pass need not apply and can continue to enjoy their regular swim as earlier. All information of the participating pools at Manchester and their timetables are available online. Authorities urge that participants need to familiarise with the various pools’ policy they are likely to use. They may have to prove their age or prove residency, if asked for.
