Malvern Hills District Council has a programme of free activities this summer to engage children and families for six weeks. The council has teamed up with Activities for Children, Freedom Leisure and Fortis Living to host a 6-week series of free events.

Dukes Meadow Playing Fields will host a family fun day on 4th August (Friday), from 1:30pm to 4pm. On 9th August, Wednesday, the popular event Xplorer will be held in Prioary Park. On Wednesday families can involve themselves in a game of rounders at Victoria Park, followed by picnic and games from 12pm to 1:30pm, at Elgar Avenue Park

Portfolio holder for healthier communities at the Malvern Hills District Council believes these activities help families to stay active and to keep young ones and children entertained during the summer holidays. There is no booking required and anyone can turn up on the day.

For more information contact Malvern Splash on phone- 01684 893423. You can follow it on Twitter and Facebook too (hashtag #outmalvernsummer). Children must have an adult accompanying them. The 6 weeks of free events concludes on 2nd September (Saturday) with yet another family fun day from 2pm to 3:30pm at Dyson Perrins School.
