Liverpool offers free pass to try unlimited fitness classes

October 20th, 2016 by Sandy

‘City Takeover’ in Liverpool is a series of events over a fortnight, that allows residents to try out classes that include taekwando, yoga and line dancing. The programme, supported by local authorities, including Lee Charles, the international kick boxer, kicks-off on 22nd October (Saturday).

A free pass for City Takeover will entitle residents to join as many sessions they wish, throughout the 2-week promotion, but with only one requirement that residents try out something new every time. The promotion encourages people to try out for free new activities, at various locations across the city, including Liverpool One, Central Library, Lime Street Plateau, Museum of Liverpool and Williamson Square.

The campaign aims to encourage small steps to get fitter, offering a wide range of activities including interactive road shows, football skills, dance, drumming, Ti Chi and hundreds more. A mini campaign on how to build 10 minutes of additional activity into their day, plus a short quiz by campaign organisers, can help offer personalised advice to get started. A full programme of free events is listed on the website- fitforme.info. City Takeover is part of ‘Fit For Me’, a new campaign to make Liverpool, by 2021, the most active city, backed by the ECHO.
