This year’s Imagine Belfast Festival returns from 20th to 26th March and you’ll be spoilt for choice, with the biggest ever programme flooding you. The festival encourages debate and discussion by the public on the biggest issues concerning our times and world.
The strictly non partisan festival prepares us for a new tomorrow. The packed programme across Belfast offers 86 events in 35 venues, over an eclectic week. The largely free events (nearly 90% of them), offer talks, discussion, theatre, film, comedy, exhibitions, music and tours.
This annual event based in Belfast, Northern Ireland, organised in March, is brought to you by a team of volunteers. The aim is to encourage people to participate, for those normally not involved in politics, to stimulate discussions on activism and new ideas. Their mission is to encourage an inspiring programme of debate, discussion and performance. They encourage the participation of under-represented groups, to promote free speech, to reflect and debate controversial and difficult issues. Find out more about the mostly free events, at Imagine Belfast Festival of Ideas & Politics, on their website- imaginebelfast.com.
